Barakat is constantly working with different organizations to raise funds to support our programs. These fundraisers range from fundraisers we organize ourselves such as the Walk for Literacy to fundraisers that are held on our behalf. To help promote fundraisers that are held on our behalf we will keep this page updated with all fundraisers that are being held both online and special events around the country!
Global Giving Fundraiser for Pakistani School Security Improvements
Recent events in Pakistan have prompted us to update security around or schools to make school a safe place for the over 1,000 students and teachers that use the buildings daily. Barakat is running an online Global Giving Fundraiser to help cover the cost of the improvements. The fundraiser can be found here.
Global Giving Fundraiser for 1,700 Students in Afghanistan
In an effort to help raise funds for our schools in Afghanistan we’ve launched an online fundraiser specifically focused on those students that we often don’t mention much about but are still as equally important as the other students we work so hard to educate. Our Afghan schools have around a 50% female enrollment rate so it is more important than ever that we help support the girls brave enough to gain an education. For more information click here.
